10. Autofocus

When joined with the Sony A7R III the autofocus of the tested lens is noiseless and sensibly quick. Running through the whole distance range and confirming the focus takes about 0.6-0.8 of a second but it seems the lens is slower moving toward infinity than the other way round. Overall we think these are decent results, but in case of a lens with such parameters they could have been a tad better.

We also had no problems when it comes to accuracy of the mechanism. Both in the studio and outside the lens's focus hit where we wanted it to, and misses were really few and far between.

The photo below shows that the lens didn't have any problems with any front or back focus tendencies.
