7. Coma, astigmatism and bokeh

When it comes to coma correction we don't have any major reservations. In the corner of full frame, even at the maximum relative aperture, images of a diode are deformed in a moderate way, a medium level nothing more. Still, we definitely don't like the fact that you can notice a trace of coma already in the corner of the APS-C sensor.

Astigmatism, understood as an average difference between horizontal and vertical MTF50 function values, amounted to 19.4%. It is a high level and this aberration certainly contributes in a distinct way to worsening of image quality.

Appearance of out-of-focus images might be called only sensible. You can spot delicate concentric circles in discs, a result of using aspherical elements in the construction, and cricles in frame corners feature a noticeably brighter, quite aggressive asymmetric rim. A low level of mechanical vignetting should be considered a kind of consolation.
