Cons: Loose barrel, zoom creep. Distortion at 18mm, but that is common with a lot of 18mm lenses.
Pros: Decent image quality over a wide range, so very practical for using as an all-purpose lens.
Summary: Perhaps I got a better than average copy and you tested a worse than average copy. I bought the Tamron 18-250 and Sigma 18-200 at the same time and compared them side-by-side. The Tamron was far better in image quality compared to the Sigma, but perhaps I got a particularly bad copy of the Sigma.
