Overall
Owner since: 3 years
Price: Came with
User profile: Semipro
Cons: A bit heavy - even with the likes of the Olympus E-M5.
Pros: Superb glass - great definition - uncanny for a zoom lens of this power.
Summary: I've used this lens on a variety of cameras - the Panasonic GH1 (which came with this lens), the GX1, the Olympus E-P3, and now the Olympus E-M5. I'm continuously impressed with the imagery that these optics can capture. This 14-140, although a bit heavy, is capable of a clarity and definition normally only seen with higher-end short regular zooms (i.e. Like some of the regular DSLR 28-70 zoom types). I've been very impressed with it and am also thinking of getting the new updated version of this lens, which is a bit smaller (and lighter).

Price: GH1 pack
User profile: Amateur
Cons: a faster aperture would have been nice, but this is contradictory with compactness !
Pros: very compact excellent quality at short focal lengths, up to 70 mm (150 mm eq) still correct at long. very good maccro capability at 140 mm. quite fast focusing
Summary: A very good value for price
