Cons: No filter thread. Reliance on software distortion correction.
Pros: Its an olympus pro lens, built to the same standard and optics as the rest of the range.
Summary: As much as I like olympus pro glass, I would have picked 8-18 PL over this, bit I got this one cheaper, so for the price its good.

Cons: I could wish for the ability to use filters, I could wish that the flare situation was better, I could wish it was smaller, lighter, and cheaper, but really, any lens in this category is going to be similar in these respects.
Pros: 114° angle of view at ƒ2.8 is simply incredible! When you take a picture on Wednesday, you have to be careful not to get Monday and Friday in the picture! Seriously, mind those feet and fingers; they end up in a lot of shots! Shooting movies with this, using Olympus IBIS, is a real experience. Nearby objects float through the scene, lending a surreal quality to the movie. With 114° to play with, my favourite technique are \"grab shots,\" made without using the EVF or screen. And it is so sharp, that you can always crop the middle out, if you find you got \"too much\" in the frame.
Summary: An outstanding, one-of-a-kind lens. It is almost always in my bag, and if I can only take one lens, this is generally it.
