6. Distortion

In case of chromatic aberration and resolution we could notice a great progress, especially comparing the tested lens to the competitors, used on bigger matrixes. When it comes to distortion, the ZD 9-18 mm are typical for the instruments in this class – neither good nor bad. At all focal lengths the lens has a barrel distortion, which level decreases from – 2.44% at 9mm through –0.59% at 14 mm to –0.23% at 18 mm.
