The Nikkor AF 70-300 mm f/4-5.6D ED is one of the cheapest long focal length range Nikkors on the market. Thanks to its price, this full-framed lens design has lots of fans among both DSLR and analog cameras users.

When used in tandem with the Nikkor AF-S 18-70 kit lens, we get a very large operational focal length range from 18 to 300 mm, which is equal to a 27-450 mm focal length in full frame providing a 76.5 to 5.4deg field of view. Anybody equipped with these two lenses is prepared for all conditions and can take all kinds of landscape pictures, as well as the most close-up bird-watching pictures imaginable.

We reviewed the Nikkor 18-70 mm lens over two months ago and now have the pleasure to review 70-300 mm model.
