1. Introduction

If you view the rangefinder Leica or Epson cameras as a separate category, the Micro 4/3, launched in 2008, remains the oldest mirrorless system. That system is very actively supported by Olympus and Panasonic, with the addition of lenses produced by such companies as Samyang, Sigma, Tamron or Voigtlander so the choice of different optics is really huge.

It’s worth noticing that it concerns not only kit or megazoom lenses but also those more specialized instruments. Even the offer of portrait devices, with the equivalent of 85 mm focal length or close to it, has become quite diversified lately: you can choose among the optically good Olympus 1.8/45 and also more expensive but faster models such as the Voigtlander Nocton 42.5 mm f/0.95 and the Panasonic Leica DG Nocticron 42.5 mm f/1.2 Asph. P.O.I.S.

Courtesy of the Panasonic company which, even before the official launch, managed to send us the Nocticron for testing purposes, we can present you our full test of that lens right now – enjoy your reading!
