Ghosting and flares are serious problems of the tested lens. You see them at all focal lengths, no matter what aperture you apply and where the source of light is. Even if the sun is situated noticeably outside the frame the photo might still feature colourful arcs influencing it in a significant way.

There are more reflections on the smaller sensor – it is a bit connected with the high vignetting level on full frame which helps to damp down the flares. The sun in the frame corner is weaker by about 2 EV right at the start – because such is the vignetting value for the corner. What’s more, the reflections which might appear in the opposite corner are weakened by the same value as well. Our reasoning is confirmed by the fact that on full frame, after a significant stopping down (so eliminating the vignetting), the flares become actually brighter.
