Samyang 21 mm f/1.4 ED AS UMC CS

8 December 2015

6. Distortion

The results in the distortion category are a very nice surprise. At first, while taking photos saved as JPEGs we got slight barrel amounting to −0.55% and we were sure that in reality that aberration was corrected by the camera’s software. RAW files, developed by the independent program, showed a distortion level of −0.57% so, within the margin of error, exactly the same as for the JPEG format. Both results are low and – for the offered angle of view – completely praiseworthy.
