Sony FE 35 mm f/1.8
10. Autofocus
However, when you pass to a newer body, the A7R IV, the lens is able to reach a quite new performance level – remaining very quiet it also becomes very quick. Running through the whole range and confirming the focus takes this time about 0.3 of a second, an excellent result, completely worth a very good and efficient lens.
We don't have any reservations concerning the accuracy of the mechanism – the lens missed in less than 2% of cases and we didn't notice any distinct differences between its performance in studio and outside.

Photos below prove clearly that, when attached to both bodies used in our test, the Sony FE 35 mm f/1.8 always hit where it should and didn't have any front or back focus tendencies.
