1. Introduction

On 1st of December 2020 Sigma presented three new Contemporary series lenses designed for full frame mirrorless cameras - the C 24 mm f/3.5 DG DN, the C 35 mm f/2 DG DN and the C 65 f/2 DG DN. Mind you, the same press release also informed that in reality you dealt here with the I series which would be comprised of compact fixed-focal lenses of premium quality. The word 'premium' was supposed to depict both optical and mechanical qualities of these instruments: the casing of these lenses would be made of metal and their production was supposed to be located in Japan.

The Sigma C 35 mm f/2 DG DN we've already managed to test. Now the time has come for the 65 mm device – the results of our testing procedures you can find in the following chapters - enjoy your reading!

We would like to thank K-Consult, the Sigma products distributor for Poland, for a very quick and efficient delivery of the final model to our office.
