7. Coma, astigmatism and bokeh

Coma on the APS-C sensor is corrected very well; in the corners of full frame you can notice its influence but its level is not huge. What's more, stopping down the lens by 1 EV decreases that aberration distinctly. In this category the Sony and its two direct rivals present a quite similar level.

Astigmatism, understood as an average difference between vertical and horizontal MTF50 function values, amounted to 5.6%. It is a slight value, not giving you any reason to complain.

Defocused circles of light look sensibly well for a lens with such parameters. You can't notice any distinct concentric circles but a bit brighter rim is easy to spot; also mechanical vignetting is very strong at the maximum relative aperture and it remains visible even on stopping down the aperture by 2 EV.
