The Voigtlander Apo Lanthar 2/35 is a manual lens so you change the focus with the help of a special ring, 30 mm wide. The middle section of this ring is covered by thick ribbing with comfortable indents for fingers and a scallop ideal for grip. Below the ribbing you can find a distance scale expressed in feet and meters. The ring moves evenly and is properly damped. The focus throw amounts to an angle of about 160 degrees, a quite significant value, allowing you quite comfortable work.

The depth of field scale helps you with focusing, as it features markings ranging from f/4.0 to f/16.

Practice shows that the Voigtlander is a joy to use; we think that a photographer with some manual lens experience shouldn't encounter any problems.
