10. Autofocus

The autofocus of the OM System M.Zuiko Digital 20 mm f/1.4 PRO joined with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 II is noiseless and flash quick. Running through the whole distance range and confirming the focus takes just 0.2-0.3 of a second, no matter from what end you start. It is an excellent result.

What's more, the autofocus is very sensitive – when you take photos through a window pane it can focus on slight dirty areas on the glass, not on a high-contrast object, situated outside the window.

We didn't have the slightest problems with the accuracy of the mechanism – the focus was set exactly where we wanted it to be, no matter whether we worked in the studio or outside.

The lens didn't have any front or back focus tendencies either.
