The autofocus of the Nikkor Z 26 mm f/2.8 was tested by us with the lens attached to the Nikon Z7. The performance of the mechanism is not perfectly silent, you still can hear shifting of elements inside. It is not a speed fiend either – quite the opposite in fact. The autofocus is slow for its parameters as running through the whole distance scale and confirming the focus takes about 1.0-1.1 seconds and this value doesn't depend on the direction of the movement.

The accuracy was fine both in the studio and outside. We also didn't notice any front or back focus tendencies.
