When it comes to performance against bright light, the Sigma's task was difficult indeed. You get here a combination of a wide angle of view and an impressive f/1.2 aperture, plus a complex, closed optical construction with as many as 26 air-to-glass surfaces. The constructors of the Sigma rose to the occasion and, as a result, the performance of the tested lens in this category is really good.
The only position when you can catch some reflections occurs when you stop down the lens a bit stronger and put the sun relatively close to the frame centre. In other causes light artifacts are weak or simply nonexistent, and the lens can preserve good contrast of images. Once again you want to clap and cheer seeing such a performance, especially because here you can also notice progress when you compare the new Sigma to its predecessor.
