Then we went to a hall where presses are used in the production process. We found out that most of the space is taken by working stations for designing and producing dies. Most dies Sigma produce on their own. It makes the production quicker and allows you to make minor alterations on the spot. To be honest I wasn't aware how many dies are needed to produce particular parts of lenses.
Dies were stocked in many places and their number I found mind-boggling.
