6. Distortion

When working with a lens of almost 4x zoom, which starts from quite a wide angle, the distortion is a very hard failure to correct. The Nikkor did not do well in this category. For an 18 mm focal length we can clearly see barrel distortion of -4.5%.

Fortunately, by increasing the focal length the situation gets better very quickly. For a 30 mm we have an almost invisible distortion of 0.02%, which for 50-70 mm increases to 0.8% - 0.9%, which is visible but not problematic.
