Sigma 10-20 mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM

5. Chromatic aberration

You can say that the three SLD elements in the lens’s inner construction are up to scratch. In this category the rival Canon 10-22 mm practically didn’t descend lower than 0.1%. The Sigma, for a change, at no focal length/aperture combination doesn’t exceed the level of 0.08% . The aberration seems to be only slightly dependent on the value of relative aperture and it decreases slowly with the increase of the focal length. At 10 mm we have the results in the 0.07-0.08% range, at 15 mm – a bit below 0.07% and at 20 mm – below 0.06%. In the case of the Sigma 10-20 mm the chromatic aberration can be confidently described as low.
