6. Distortion

A fixed focal length lens with an angle of view of less than 60 degrees shouldn’t have any significant distortion-related problems. A similar angle of view on full frame is typical for 35 mm lenses and in their case you have to deal with barrel distortion from −1.9 to −1.1%. Compared to that the result of the Canon 2.8/24 STM, amounting to −1.73%, seems to be quite ordinary; anyway the tested lens shouldn’t be ashamed of it.
