Voigtlander Nokton 10.5 mm f/0.95
1. Introduction
The Nokton 10.5 mm f/0.95, presented during the Photokina 2014, is the newest addition to that group. I have to admit that launch was for me personally a surprise. I expected the Nokton line-up would be enlarged but rather by a 12-14 mm instrument, being an equivalent of full frame 24-28 mm devices. I didn’t expect somebody might consider producing a lens which should be listed as ultra wide angle with an aperture as fast as f/0.95.
Still Voigtlander decided to stand up to such a task. Several months after the launch the lens hit the shelves. As soon as the first specimens of the Nokton 0.95/10.5 got to Poland we wanted to test it and check its possibilities. Courtesy to the FoxFoto company we were sent that lens very quickly to our editorial office – thank you very much!
