Nikon Nikkor AF-S 105 mm f/1.4E ED

6. Distortion

The Nikkor AF-S 105 mm f/1.4E ED doesn’t have any serious distortion problems. While the lens is attached to the Nikon D7000 with the DX sensor the deformations would be difficult to notice because our measurements showed pincushion variant of just +0.51%. After passing to full frame that value increased to +1.22%. It is not something bothersome in real life but from a good quality ‘prime’ with such a focal length you would expect results below 1%.
