Samyang AF 24 mm f/2.8 FE

9. Ghosting and flares

The Samyang AF 24 mm f/2.8 FE performs against bright light sensibly well but you have to add that huge vignetting level helps out in that category and small wonder - even if you put the sun in the frame corner at the maximum relative aperture its brilliance is weakened by almost 4 EV.

In most of cases you won’t have any problems with ghosting and flares but there is one exception to that rule which should be criticized. When the sun is situated far away from the frame corner a huge light artifact spreads from the upper right-hand corner and it is able to destroy your shot almost completely.
