10. Autofocus

The autofocus of the tested lens joined with the X-T2 camera is almost noiseless. You can hear just a delicate buzz of the mechanism. Still it can hardly be called fast because running through the whole range and setting the focus takes about 0.8-1.0 of a second. The speed remains the same no matter from what end you start.

During the test we also had an access to the Fujifilm X-T4 camera and we admit in that case the performance of the mechanism was a tad quicker – running through the distance range and confirming the focus took about 0.7-0.8 of a second. Still that result is also nothing to boast of.

We can praise the accuracy of the mechanism for a change. The lens always hit the target no matter whether we took photos in the studio or outside, and it was true for both camera bodies.

The Fujinon didn't have any front or back focus tendencies either.
