1. Introduction

At the turn of 2020 and 2021 there was a heavy crop of new Sony FE fixed focal length lenses with moderately fast apertures. First Sigma showed three Contemporary series instruments with the following parameters: 3.5/24, 2/35, and 2/65, and then Sony presented three primes, the 2.8/24, the 2.5/40 and the 2.5/50.

We've managed to test every device out of this armada of lenses apart from the Sigma C 24 mm f/3.5 DG DN so now it's time to check its performance in practice too.

We would like to thank the Sigma ProCentrum company for sending us very quickly the final specimen of the lens for testing.
