I’m sure that every photography amateur has looked enviously at the crowd of shiny, white Canon lenses taking pictures of stars and celebrities. The solid L class (L – Luxury) “tubes” are known for their sturdiness, fantastic optic capabilities, quick autofocus and, unfortunately for many of their fans, their high prices. But honestly, you don’t have to spend a fortune to enjoy a beautiful white lens mounted to your camera. The Canon EF 70-200 mm f/4L, available on our market since 1999, is one of the cheapest L-grade lenses and its price of roughly 2,700 Polish zloty is very tempting indeed. Professional photographers will not be impressed, but all laymen and amateurs will look enviously at your equipment. Is it worth it? We hope that after reading this test, everybody will have a satisfactory answer to this question.
