The Canon 17-55 mm is equipped with a quiet, fast and flawlessly working USM mechanism. In this category we have nothing bad to say about the lens - in test conditions it failed in 3% of cases, which is a great score.

We did not notice any problems with front or back focusing, which can be seen on the pictures below.
