Samyang AF 45 mm f/1.8 FE

9. Ghosting and flares

When you work near the maximum relative aperture you might experience some problems with performance against bright light but only when the sun is in the very corner of the frame. Then you can notice a distinct artifact close to that corner.

On stopping down the aperture that problem intensifies - additionally, you can catch some red artifacts in the corner opposite to the one featuring the source of bright light.

As you see the performance in this category can hardly be called perfect but it also shouldn't be criticized very harshly. Overall you deal here with moderately good results.
