10. Autofocus

The autofocus of the Nikkor Z 40 mm f/2 joined with the Nikon Z7 is completely noiseless but its speed can only be called moderate. Running through the whole distance range and confirming the focus takes about 0.7-0.8 of a second and such a result doesn't depend on the direction of movement.

The accuracy of the autofocus is beyond reproach for a change – the lens performed very well both outside and in our studio, always hitting where we wanted it to.

It's worth adding that the Nikkor Z 40 mm f/2 didn't have any front or back focus tendencies either.
