6. Distortion

It is a very interesting thing that, despite a very simple optical construction, designers of the Nikkor Z 2/40 took proper care of distortion correction and with a very positive result. It seems in this case 'to want is to succeed'.

On the smaller APS-C/DX sensor you won't see any deformations at all. Officially we got a result of -0.15%, within the margin of error in accordance with zero.

After passing to full frame you can spot slight 'barrel' and its level we determined as −0.82%. Such a value can't give you any reasons to complain.
