The results of the Samyang in this category weren't any kind of surprise for me because I was aware of the scale of the problem. Let's just say that you don't have to make any effort to catch different light artifacts in your photos. They are present no matter whether the sun is situated inside the frame or outside. Fortunately, in most of cases, their number is limited and their intensity – not especially pronounced. What's more, there is no visible contrast loss. Still, there is one exception – if the source of bright light is right outside the frame then, especially with the lens stopped down, in your photo can appear very bright overexposed area that goes diagonally. It is able to destroy your photo completely.
In order to defend the Samyang a bit you can add that in this class of equipment we've seen weaker performances. Of course there is a lot of room for improvement but we appreciate the effort of the Samyang optics specialists. You have to notice huge progress they've made since their first ultra wide angle instruments launched on the market.
