Pros:

Solid, weather-sealed, aluminum casing,
sensational image resolution in frame centre,
very good image resolution on the edge of the APS-C/DX sensor,
good image resolution on the edge of full frame,
slight longitudinal chromatic aberration,
negligible lateral chromatic aberration,
low distortion,
very low astigmatism,
slight vignetting on APS-C/DX,
silent and rather efficient autofocus,
lack of focus breathing problems,
nice out-of-focus areas,
5-year warranty,
very good price/performance and price/quality ratio.

Cons:

high vignetting level on full frame,
performance against bright light could have been better.

Looking at the pros and cons list, remembering that the Viltrox AF 50 mm f/.4 Pro costs just $466 we can say for sure that it is an exceptionally well-put-together lens and definitely worth recommending. At the same time we had no doubts whatsoever that it deserves our 'Good purchase' badge. A round of applause!
