When we start to browse through offers of different lenses’ manufacturers, looking for the widest full frame lens which still is not a fish eye device, we can find mainly 14-15 mm instruments. There are two interesting exceptions to that rule: the Voigtlander Ultra Wide Heliar 12 mm f/5.6 Aspherical II, designed to cooperate with rangefinders and the Sigma 12-24 mm. In 2011 the Sigma company presented refreshed version of this lens and recently we've had an opportunity to test it. Enjoy our review.

Today we would like to present the second part of the article which describes the history of Polish Optical Industries (PZO). In the first part of the article we described the beginning and a very quick development of the company which was stopped all of a sudden by the onset of WWII. A new Sigma 18-200 mm f/3.5-6.3 II DC OS HSM lens on Nikon mount has just arrived to our office. In spite of cloudy and foggy weather we decided to take it ouside and take some photos. Traditionally all photographs were made at lowest available level of sharpening and with the noise reduction turned off.

Please enjoy the gallery of sample images taken using new Sony Alpha SLT-65 camera. We used Sony DT 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 SAM and Sony Carl Zeiss Vario Sonnar 24-70 mm f/2.8 T* SSM lenses. The samples are JPEG files with lowest level of sharpening and lowest level of compression.

The Pentax smc FA 31 MM F/1.8 AL lens is quite an elderly construction, designed during the era when analogue photography reigned supreme. Still that lens is considered one of the best among system devices, being respected for its very good optical properties and a splendid build quality. We decided to check out whether such an opinion is truly deserved. Enjoy our review.

The Canon EF 135 mm f/2.0L USM was launched in April 1996 so dating back to an era by and large completely dominated by analogue photography. Despite the fact that 15 years passed by from its launch it is still considered to be one of the most interesting and best lenses in the whole Canon line-up.
