2025 brought us a real rash of launches of 1.2/35 class lenses. In February we saw the huge Nikkor Z 35 mm f/1.2 S, in April the Viltrox AF 35 mm f/1.2 LAB, and in July Sigma presented the second version of its model with these parameters. As if it wasn't enough, this trend has been continued also at the beginning of 2026, with the launch of the Leica Noctilux-M 35 mm f/1.2 ASPH.
Fast 35 mm instruments are one of the most popular lenses on the market, real workhorses for many journalists or wedding photographers; small wonder they have enjoyed considerable interest. That's why we felt we could not omit them in our tests. Our series starts with the Viltrox AF 35 mm f/1.2 LAB.
