Defocused circles of light look very well, especially if you take into account the fact that you deal here with a zoom lens which optical construction features an aspherical element. There is really nothing to criticize because light spread inside the circles is even, the intensity of the outer rim – negligible, and mechanical vignetting disappears completely already on stopping down the aperture by 1 EV.
