Pros:
- a handy, lightweight housing,
- excellent image quality in the frame centre,
- good image quality on the edge of the frame,
- moderate longitudinal chromatic aberration,
- low lateral chromatic aberration,
- good control of spherical aberration,
- low astigmatism,
- proper performance against bright light,
- silent, quick, and accurate autofocus,
- sensible appearance of out-of-focus areas.
Cons:
- very high vignetting,
- bothersome distortion on RAW files and uncorrected JPEG files as well,
- the ring next to the front element peels off.

As if it wasn't enough, the new Sigma that costs $580 manages to defeat the Sony E 15 mm f/1.4 G, which is $270 more expensive, in a significant number of categories and in other categories you see at least a draw. Overall you can say that, out of these two, the cheaper device is definitely a better instrument and we think it is also completely recommendable.
