9. Ghosting and flares

When it comes to the performance against bright light, the new Sigma didn't have it easy. Why? A combination of a fast maximum relative aperture, a wide angle of view, and a complicated optical system is difficult to optimize. Still, it manages to perform well enough. Near f/1.4 there are almost no problems at all; on slight stopping down of the aperture, you can catch light artifacts and flares, but their number is limited and they are not intensive. At the same time, the tested lens can provide good, properly contrasted images in every setting.
