1. Introduction

The Chinese Sirui appeared on the Polish market in 2011 and soon they became popular because of their rich lineup of tripods and ball heads with a very favourable price/performance ratio. I have bought myself one of their models, made of carbon fiber; I've been using it to this day and I admit it's been a pleasure.

The line-up of this company have been enlarged. In 2019 they entered the optics market, by presenting the anamorphic Sirui 50 mm f1.8 1.33x. Soon afterwards, they added 24, 35, 75, 135, and 150 mm models.

In July 2023 we saw a launch of three cinematic lenses designed to cooperate with APS-C/DX and Super35 sensors; several months later we saw a whole series of new fixed-photo Sniper models designed to cooperate with mirrorless cameras and APS-C/DX class detectors. An excellent f/1.2 aperture was their hallmark.

In 2024 and 2025 they decided to conquer full frame mirrorless devices. In that time they released two Aurora series f/1.4 instruments, the first with a focal length of 85 mm and the second one with a focal length of 35 mm. We are going to take a closer look at the second one and it's possible courtesy of Beafoto shop, which has recently become the official distributor of Sirui products for Poland.
