I have to admit that I am among them - I have been the happy owner of this lens for more than two years. I use it mainly for bird photography and performs excellently. Of course I must add that I am a complete amateur when it comes to bird photography – I never build any kind of cache, I don't camouflage myself, I don't wait for ages for the right moment. In my case it's more walking and shooting – that's why I really cared about a lens with a focal range reaching 600 mm that would weigh around 2.5 kg with the camera body so I could take it for longer walks. I used to carry along the Sigma S 60-600 mm f/4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM joined with the Nikon D500; this set weighed almost 3.5 kg and it proved to be a bit too heavy for me. After the change I felt the difference and my ageing neck thanked me for it.
