Sigma C 18-200 mm f/3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM

9. Ghosting and flares

Work against bright light of the tested Sigma 18-200 mm is not bad. At the shorter end of the focal range, so in situations when it is most likely to capture the sun inside the frame or close to it, it is not easy to catch any flares and if they happen they are hardly intensive. The worst performance you see near 75-125 mm focal lengths, with strong reflections inside the frame. Fortunately in that range the sun is rarely positioned inside the frame or in its corner. At the maximum focal length the flares disappear but you can notice a distinct contrast decrease.
