Viltrox AF 35 mm f/1.8 EVO

1. Introduction

The line-up of Chinese Viltrox has been enlarging in leaps and bounds. Among its latest novelties in October 2025 we saw a new line of lenses called EVO and its first representative, the Viltrox AF 85 mm f/2 EVO. We've already had an opportunity to test it, and we were impressed by its excellent price performance index.

Viltrox AF 35 mm f/1.8 EVO - Introduction

In April 2026, the EVO line was enlarged by two other lenses, the AF 35 mm f/1.8 EVO and the AF 55 mm f/1.8 EVO, both presented as Nikon Z and Sony FE mount versions.

We do like testing optical instruments that promise us real chances of outstanding results and are moderately priced, so we couldn't deny ourselves the pleasure of checking the new Viltrox launches as well and our conclusions you can find in the following chapters – enjoy your reading!
